Hi everyone! Welcome to the A to Z of Sex with me, Dr Lori Beth Bisbey. I am a sex and intimacy coach and psychologist and I’ve spent the last 30 + years helping people to create hot and healthy sexual and intimate relationships. We are working our way through the erotic alphabet one letter at a time. This week the letter is W and W is for Wanker
My guest for V became ill so we are skipping V this week and moving on to W – we will go back to V soon. Today the letter is W and W is for Wanker
Joining me today to talk all about wankers is Zayna Ratty. Zayna is a Hypno-Psychotherapist specialising in G.S.R.D (Gender, Sexuality, Relationship Diversity), LGBTQIA+, Ethnicity, Consensual Non-Monogamy, Polyam and Alt based in Oxford at www.zayna.net @zrtherapy. For her full CV – check out S is for Swinging and N is for NRE
Wankers – British slang for men who masturbate – but has come to mean an annoying jerk – usually male. And this show is about wankers.
We are going to talk about a few types of wankers on this show:
1. Dating app wankers
2. Wankers who approach therapists, coaches, professionals via phone, video, on every social media and the things they say and do
3. Specifically – wankers who send pictures of their penises or who use them as an avatar
Please feel free to write in with your experiences, comments or explanations.
Dating app wankers are the ones who approach you regardless of the fact that your profile clearly highlights they are not a match – like the monogamous men who approach us looking for a wife despite our profiles highlighting that we are married and polyamorous and bigamy remains illegal in the UK. Or the ones who send messages that simply say ‘hi’.
We both get a couple of calls a week from men who are literally wankers – they want to masturbate while talking with us. This isn’t unusual for therapists who list sex as their area of expertise but it is really annoying.
